There are a lot of cosmetic packaging for options out there, but until now, PET is most widely used for durability and good price. But recent years, plastic disposal becomes one of the major concerns of environmental issue.
As more and more governments and companies noticed this issue, post-consumer resin (PCR) becomes to be known to improve the condition. Thanks to the improvements of recycling and reprocessing of PET material, higher level of PCR can be used.
So what is PCR?
PCR is short for Post-consumer resin, which is a technical term in recycled plastic field, so PCR means a fully new chance for companies looking for sustainable packaging to show their determination for environmentally conscious.
Why should PCR be used?
Carbon emission has always been one of the main issues in the environment protection. Manufacturing process produce most of CO2 without any doubt, so if materials can be recycled, carbon emission can be effectively reduced.
So if we think sustainable consciously in packaging aspect, PCR is the key solution. PET and HDPE take more than 95% in the packaging of the world, and even more in the bottles recycled.

Customers are doing this to show their sustainable conscious and help to make the world "green", So using PCR will help companies have a stable market in the competition world also.
